Floyd Blaikie started her career in broadcast, working her way up from a remote radio broadcast technician to anchoring a morning alt-rock radio show in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She left FM radio in 2014 and made the move to marketing to use her storytelling skills in a brand-new way. The second half of her career has been spent working in the B2B world with mid-market to enterprise manufacturers, ISVs, and digital commerce service providers. Today, she’s the co-host of Data vs. Commerce and Director of Marketing at Pivotree, where she helps connect retail, manufacturing, automotive, and distribution companies with next-gen solutions for their data and commerce problems.

She helps companies move from reactive, broken data processes to systems that actually support revenue, speed, and better buyer experiences.

Sam brings 20 years of experience across the automotive ecosystem and a decade working deeply in data and digital transformation. She has worked on both the technical and business sides of data as a user, steward, and engineering leader before moving into strategy and partnerships. That background gives her a practical, no-nonsense view of what enterprise data programs really require to succeed.

She is an active member of the Auto Care Association’s Technology Standards Committee and ACPN Leadership Committee, and regularly speaks on data standards, digital maturity, and how organizations can operationalize data without overcomplicating it.
